ABC chart

Give your child a personal ABC chart with images to remind them of each letter’s initial sounds! Note how the vowels are SHORT. This is the best way to teach in the beginning. Your child will learn additional sounds as you go, but short vowels first is best to avoid confusion. This PDF includes 2 half-sized copies and one full sized copy for regular paper. Print in color and laminate or put in a sheet protector. Play “I SPY” with different letters, sounds, and pictures. Ask your child what letter a certain word “begins with.” Not every ABC chart is the same!
